It's official!
SBSmigration.com IT Pro Conference 2008 is now announced to be held in New Orleans running the French Quarter Weekend Conference May 9-11, 2008, followed on May 12 - 17, 2008 for the Caribbean Cruise Seminars. The topic is Transition Strategies: Migrations, Upgrades and Services, a theme for the sessions that will explore the full range of not just product upgrades, but what you might consider in tuning your IT Pro organization or customers to undertake major upgrades in the next year. Take a look at Jeff's 2008 Welcome Commentary on this for some ideas about why this may be a must attend event for the business and technical preparations ahead.
For 2008 the conference is relocating with the hotel/conference venue set for the Westin New Orleans Canal Place, located in the French Quarter on the Mississippi River. The hotel is a notch up in comforts this year as it will be completing a total renovation and grand opening as a Westin brand hotel in December 2007. Our conference and events space is quite spectacular as it is located on the 11th and 12th floors overlooking the city, the French Quarter and the riverfront. Our facilities and special events planning will allow us to grow the conference by approximately 80 more attendees this year, making this event one of the hottest conference tickets next spring. (It's likely to sell out.) So get your registration in early and plan to have a fabulous time with our great food and live music every night, not to mention a return of the extremely popular single-track discussion format for the sessions. We will expand the balance of workshop as we are adding another half-day to the calendar schedule this year. Remember, we are NOT on Memorial Day weekend this year, we've moved up to make it convenient to avoid the holiday travel challenges.
Related to the launch of the Conference 2008 website is the coincidental launch of www.Conference.SBSmigration.com as an events portal to consolidate the interactive elements of last year's conference content and the 2008 conference resources. What does that mean? You can now go to the Conference Portal page to logon for resources including the opportunity to view sessions from the 2007 sessions! We've also brought over the 2007 photo gallery to help you remember or be initiated to some of the great evening events and content moments that were captured last year. We got so much positive feedback, 95% of those surveyed who attended last year plan to be coming back!
SBSmigration.com IT Pro Conference 2007 was held in New Orleans Memorial Day weekend in May 2007. Our attendance of over 160 people included 35 SMB industry leaders as presenters and discussion panelist. The success of the conference was due in part to the participation and funding of 12 major sponsors in addition to the organization and underwriting from SBSmigration.com.
Naturally, it's the dedicated members of the community that are the heart and soul of an event based upon community investment, and in particular, all those who invested time and expense to attend this conference. To all of you, I offer my very deep thanks for your commitment.
